I received an email on the 7th asking if I wanted to re-activate my
account. I clicked on the re-activate button. No where on this email does
it say that I am opting-in to email messages. I, too have received 2 email
messages per day. I went to the web to de-active any email messages, and
could not remember a signon. I key my email address into the "send my
password" field and press SEND. The message I get back is "Sorry, no
corresponding User was found". This sounds like poor judgement on the part
of MC at the least, and out right deception and spam at the worst.

A few weeks ago, I got a message from them saying that they needed me to

This seemed like a reasonable request (how else could they know when
e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc became obsolete? -- it amounts to
routine housekeeping) so I logged on and verified my information.

When I clicked their "For more information about your subscription click

list when I verified my contact information. I thought that was a
little shady, myself... I've never, ever, asked to receive this stuff,
so how could I reactivate it?

But I went into my MC press profile on their web site and told it not to
send the e-mails, and so far I haven't received any...
