This seemed like a reasonable request (how else could they know when
e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc became obsolete? -- it amounts to
routine housekeeping) so I logged on and verified my information.
Thereafter, like you, I started getting 2-3 ads from them every day.
When I clicked their "For more information about your subscription click
here." it showed that I had "reactivated my subscription" to the mailing
list when I verified my contact information. I thought that was a
little shady, myself... I've never, ever, asked to receive this stuff,
so how could I reactivate it?
But I went into my MC press profile on their web site and told it not to
send the e-mails, and so far I haven't received any...
