Ya know, has anyone done the math of COMMON's over all budget compared with
the REAL attendee numbers?

COMMON hasn't had the balls to post the REAL conference spreadsheet to the
CMC database pages for several years now, but if you even take the total
budget numbers that Randy presented at MOM, divide it by the number of REAL
attendees, you're going to get a figure that will rock your socks off. Keep
in mind that this is NOT inclusive of the high room rates you pay...

SO, let's presume that the annual COMMON budget is about 3,000,000... At
Reno the best estimates of REAL PAID attendees was about 600. SO, do the
math...

Anyone ever look at why it takes THAT MUCH MONEY to run a conference that
has one annual meeting for less than 1000 REAL attendees???

I know User groups that have done annual meetings, with expo, etc., for 500
attendees, charged them a lot less, run on a much smaller budget and made
money on the deal...

I've not seen the COMMON financial detail in a long time, but it was really
astounding how much went for what back then!

Perhaps it's time for COMMON to publish their detailed financials, or
perhaps it's time for Paul to make another trip with his attorney to COMMON
HQ and publish them to his blog.
