Does anyone process by RRN anymore? I remember Mapics on a S/34 used to
use "chain chase" sequence on their bill of materials and use RRN but I'd
like to hope they don't anymore.

problems (at least AFAIK) is if the file is being processed by RRN, then
you'll have problems. other than that i don't see any reason why you
couldn't just reuse deleted records.

Reusing Deleted Records in a File (REUSEDLT)

What are the issues involved in reusing deleted records? There must be
some otherwise it would be a default, I would think. And is it as easy as
just flipping the flag on the file?
The reason I ask is that we have a program that generates a lot of deleted
records - 75,000 per day. I could schedule a daily reorg on the file but
thought I'd get some guidance from this wonderful list first
Thanks in advance,
