The only other issue is a debug or support issue. If a process crashes
that was writing files you can tell where it was by looking at the
last record in the file. If you use reuse, then that last record will
not be correct record.

problems (at least AFAIK) is if the file is being processed by RRN, then
you'll have problems.  other than that i don't see any reason why you
couldn't just reuse deleted records.

What are the issues involved in reusing deleted records?  There must be
some otherwise it would be a default, I would think.  And is it as easy as

just flipping the flag on the file?

The reason I ask is that we have a program that generates a lot of deleted

records - 75,000 per day.  I could schedule a daily reorg on the file but
thought I'd get some guidance from this wonderful list first
