First of all prompt the command and fill in the parameters that way.

Second, you are going to have to send the numeric parameters as hex
values. If you type a numeric value from the command line, OS/400
automatically pass the values as 15/5 so you would have to pass as
hex. Also, are parameters being expected in packed or zoned? Packed
would be something like x'0018424F'. Zoned would be something like
x'0F1F8F4F2F4F'

Better way to do this is either define a command to receive parameters
and pass to your program or

Change program to expect 15/5 for the numeric parameters.

Change the program to expect the parameters as character and convert
to numeric in the program.

Sorry to bother everyone with such a trivial question.

Have a program expecting 3 parameters

Parameter 1 is described as 6,0.  The test value is 18424

Parameter 2 is described as 10 and can contain “/”.  The test value is 524771/1

Parameter 3 is described as 6,0.  The test value is 1

I’ve tried entering the command as “CALLbprogram-nameb(018424524771/1bb000001)” where “b” represents a blank.

When I enter the above string I get Expression operator not allowed for parameter PARM.  Any suggestions on how I fit this?
