while doing PWRDNSYS you will get an option to make the IPL as Manual.

Try it!

Anyone can give up. Its the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold
it together, when everything seems like falling apart ;Thats true
strength.

Subject
Manual IPL query

Hi All

I have a 9406 720 here, but its missing its front panel key.

The machine is stuck in the B N position and I dont know a way of changing
this within the OS to D M (V5R1). I can change the IPL settings to D if I
do a PWRDWNSYS (F4) but I can't change the IPL type to Manual. I looked
around SST but unlike DST there are no front panel options in there that I
can change.

Has anyone got any ideas? Can you even get replacement keys? And if so,
would it be easier (and cheaper) to get a new box!

Thanks in advance :)

Martin.
