Cryptographic technology export restrictions....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Export_of_cryptography

I think it got rolled onto install media at V5R4. Of course, you can't
get to V5R4 on a 720, so you'll need your BP to SAVLICPGM from a V5R3
system...

Subject: 5722-AC3

I'm needing the Crypto support so I can work on getting my Universal
Connection working. I upgraded to V5R3 on a 720 this weekend and was
expecting 5722-AC3 to be with the CD's - it's even on the work order
that shipped with the CDs. I call Software support to ask which CD it
was supposed to be on and after some consternation, decide to help me
out and supply a save file (which at this time seems to be defective).
They said that it isn't included with the CD's because of security
concerns and it "used to" be supplied by Business Partners, but they
doubted they would have them now.

I'm going to talk to the Business Partner once I get back in the office
to see if they can supply it, but I gotta ask: why is it so hard to get
this feature? It's required for quite a number of areas on the iSeries,
yet they are make it so difficult to find.
