Not just casinos... IBM has been pushing AIX to replace OS/400 for a long
time. And, Austin has NEVER hidden the fact that they're taking market
share from system-I and they have absolutely no problems doing so. Also
keep in mind that Oracle is pSeries's biggest business partner and Larry
Ellison REALLY KNOWS HOW TO MARKET! ....unlike the dolts at IBM in charge of
AS/400, iSeries, system-I, IBM-i....who appear to be intentionally letting
this product decline...
Don't be surprised to see COMMON trending more AIX than os/400...it's the
only way it will survive as an organization, provided it can crack the AIX
mindset - which is a helluva task!
And, once again, this was predicted by several of us oh, let's see....uh
maybe 5 years ago??
