What local facility? Nothing in San Antonio or Austin. When we tried to
resurrect the San Antonio group last fall, IBM told us to contact a person
in Dallas to be our liaison. When I asked the IBM'er if the Dallas employee
would have budget to come to San Antonio twice a month for a dinner meeting
and a planning meeting, I never heard another word.
OMNI in Chicago is fortunate to be able to use the IBM facility in Oakbrook.

a problem I see with user's groups is there are very few speakers
available. Partly because funds are scarce to pay for a presentation.
Maybe if IBM provided meeting space at their local facility, then the
attendance fees could be used, not to pay the hotel, but the speaker.
