Now, there's an interesting question... I never thought about it before.

I've always "assumed" that the 'TCP/IP Communications Utilities' were for stuff similar to what gets installed with the SQL Dev Kit -- menus, various commands, etc. It never occurred to me that it might be TCP/IP itself. And since I don't recall ever working on a system that didn't have 57xxTC1, I never would've run into a problem. (Except maybe back pre-V3...)

Does 57xxTC1 install TCP/IP itself? That would seem... odd.

But I've assumed that TCP/IP has a lot that is implemented at a lower level, so I wouldn't expect it to be totally installed above 57xx999.
