Latest update from IBM:

<snip>
This problem affects customers who open and close spooled files without
writing any data to the file.

Another workaround would be to not open the spooled file if the
application knows that no data will be written to the spooled file. ( a
program change

Or

On V5R4, the latest PTF to keep would be SI26763.

I'll have to research if there is a recommended route for removing the 2
ptf's and how it will affect the pre-req and co-req's since I believe all
involved need to be reviewed.

SI26763 was superceded by SI30543..... which was superceded by SUPERSEDED
BY: SI32147.

PRE-REQS/CO-REQS:

My reply to IBM
5722SS1 - SI26763 is permanently applied.
5722SS1 - SI30543 is also permanently applied and has been for awhile.

That means one of three things. One that PTF really didn't have the issue
that I am having, or, I'll have to reinstall OS and reapply ptf's, or,
you're busting hump to get me a fixing ptf.
