Rob - is this V5 or V6?
Are these printer files used with a tool like Info Print?

Be aware of printer files with *AFPDS or *LINE type files that have
CVTLINDTA set to *YES

Apparently there is a problem that started occurring after our last IPL
causing some programs to blow up with
(application library and program names removed)
MCH3601-Pointer not set for location referenced.
CEE9901-Application error. MCH3601 unmonitored by QAKACNVL at
CPF9999-Function check. CEE9901 unmonitored by QSPCLOSE
CPF4510-File QPRINT in library ... member or device *N was not closed.
CPF9999-Function check. CPF4510 unmonitored by
CPF3698-Dump output directed to spooled file 5,
RPG1216-Error message CPF4510 appeared during CLOSE (C S D F).
RPG9001-Error RPG1216 caused program ... to stop.
CPF9999-Function check. RPG9001 unmonitored by
CPA0701-RPG9001 received by ... at 179800. (C D I R)

It does cause one to shudder when it happens on the initialization of both
of these programs
/* CALL DIRECT DEPOSIT PROGRAMS */

CALL PGM(...) PARM(&USER &DCON &DATA)
CALL PGM(...) PARM(&DATA &BGNTIM)
when the payroll guru is out of town and his backup is scratching his head
until the guru connects in and simply takes an I to both. I had someone
(who's biweekly pay varies due to overtime) verify that the paystub and
bank deposit were cool.

IBM says they are aware of this problem and they may have a fix in
December.

We will also shortly be outsourcing payroll (provider already picked - no
spam please).
