Yes, it is true IBM Rochester made modifications to the OS so it could claim to be in the DB2 family. Having been an IBMer and worked closely with the Santa Teresa Lab (now called something else) and the Toronto Lab (labs responsible for DB2), I suspect IBM Rochester was told to make themselves look and act somewhat like the rest of the DB2s if they wanted to be part of the brand or something like that.
Therefore, it is true I can use SQL to create tables, etc. But you miss the point. My points are well stated in my last two entries on this topic not to mention the countless times I've made the same or similar case. Birgitta is correct on that and with the same response here sadly missing the points also. I think my case will only fully hit home when the i fades into the sunset (closer than you think), is no more and the i-centric folks are standing around wondering what happened like they are shocked.
