is Netserver running on your iSeries? Is it configured to your windows
domain correctly?

I am working on getting that done. There are a number of hurdles to get
over. I have created the IFS folder and shared it, but something is
getting in the way of me seeing that as a network directory from
windows. Another networking issue to learn and fix - it has to do with
network security, I think.
For the time being, I will do the two step.
