I remember it used to be that if you had hardware maintenance, you were
entitled to PTF's and CUM's from IBM



My friend has a low priority Iseries that he wants hardware maintenance on,
and he will need to keep updated with PTF's and CUM's and Software releases,
but he doesn't need IBM tech support.



Is it necessary to purchase "software support" to get PTF's, etc.?
