Is it confirmed that "thunking" is what goes on with the n-bit versions of things in AIX? Are we chasing a red herring here?

Gee thanks Joe, and I'd just about put that nightmare behind me.
Thunking and the thunking-layer, what fun! :-) I actually have a
thunkiung process on my machine right now... splwow64 says it's the
"Thunking Spooler APIS from 32 to 64 Process". Heh, at least I don't
have to deal with it.
