Just look how many companies are struggling with V6R1 compatibility.
Just like the Vista troubles are not Microsoft's fault, the V6R1
troubles are not IBM's fault. They're indicative of poor application
vendors, application programmers waiting for their retirement without
staying on top of the game, etc.

I'm pretty sure most of Vista's troubles can be blamed on Microsoft.

As I type this, I'm sitting in a microsoft class for SQL Server
Integration Services...

One thing I've learned so that made me laugh out loud: SSIS in SQL
Server 2005 includes a migratation wizard for migrating SQL Server
2000 DTS packages. Of course, the wizard can't be expected to convert
100%, but one thing that gives it problems is the use of a .UDL for
data sources. Of course back in DTS, the Microsoft recommendation was
to use .UDL to define your data sources.

Microsoft's history is full of this, new version of a procduct,
requires an existing app to be re-written.
