We are 99.9% sure that all users are running Client Access V5R1 or
later (is there any way from the i5 side to tell for sure?) .

I wish I could remember (it's been over a year), but someone with Client
Access at IBM was able to tell me what jobs to look for in WRKACTJOB that
would be active only with prior versions of Client Access. I can't find
that info by Googling now (nor could I back then). You might get lucky in
calling their help support.

Is there anything else that anyone ran into when making this switch that

we need to worry about?

The display file for the signon. Even if you don't have dumb tubes and
always enable bypass signon on the client side, you may have a user sign
off the session without disconnecting the client. You need to change the
display file that shows when a user signs onto the green screen. I
believe the screen with expanded space for the password is QDSIGNON2 in
QSYS/QAWTSSRC.
