Dear Loyd:
Why do you feel you need both compiler sets (OPM and ILE)? You could run
any RPG/400 source through the CVTRPGSRC command for programs you need
to customize, and compile them with CRTBNDRPG with ACTGRP(*DFTACTGRP) --
aka. "OPM compatibility mode" ... since they will run in the default
activation group, they should behave the same as their original RPG/400
counterparts (except of course, any custom modifications, which is the
whole point of this exercise, right?).
Or am I "missing" something?

Congrats! Do you run any vendor software that you need to customize or
recompile? Our vendor-supplied ERP is Synon generated RPG, but we do a
lot of in house development in ILE. V6R1 will hurt us on requiring both
compiler sets, as we do customize the vendor's package.
