And since it's a closed system (access to i5/OS), IBM has total
control over the interfaces (and therefore products) that will be
used. So, if Rational doesn't build the interfaces/programs to access
i5/OS from Linux or Windows...well, I guess that will tell us
something about direction, won't it?

I thought I'd at least change the topic. It's right on the cusp of list
topic, too, although I think it's super important to midrange folks to
know whether there's an alternative to Windows on the desktop, and it
really depends a lot on what the Rational folks do.
