I'm a Mac guy, and I'd rather run it without emulation if I could.
But, I can't, and I doubt if I will in the foreseeable future. So I
have my XP laptop that I used for my 'IBM' things.

There's almost no WDSC in RDi. It's just Eclipse plus RSE/LPEX plus the
application diagrammer, with a preview of the screen designer. I hope
that the two new pieces, application diagrammer and screen designer, are
not Windows-bound. And the RSE is being open sourced, so that should
soon not be an issue. What's left is the editors, and while I love the
functionality of the LPEX editors, having them be Windows-dependent is a
big issue long-term.

Technically, of course, I could run the whole shebang in a Windows
emulator. Jon Paris has been doing so with a Mac for a little while
now. But that's not the direction I'd like to go long term.
