The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Maybe they have long been superceeded. But were they superceeded by any
ptf's you have? I wonder, since the cume you mentioned is from mid 2006.
Yeah, he should upgrade to a current cume before opening a call with
IBM. That'll reset the current condition anyway since a current CUME
requires an IPL.
I don't know much about "GA3" type of stuff. I did some limited
researching and that seemed to point more towards FSP code and not
microcode on any particular partition.
Yep, it's the FSP Firmware. I've never dealth with a 595, but
everything i've read so far was usually "do this, but NOT if you're on
595, then do that". This machine seems to a lot of things differently.

According to this Document, GA3 is somewhere aequivalent to SF_222.
Which is very, very old. You should upgrade to SF240. This is a
procedure that requires IBM, and can't be done by the customer itself
or a BP.

Microcode for i5/os seems to do something called "Respins". Like 540-F
would indicate the F respin of 540. I think there's a correlation between
either the RE*, or the MH* class of ptf's and respins.
Yep, but you only need respins if you want to install a new partition
on "current" hardware. There's no need to install a Respin-LIC
seperatily, you can just apply the PTF.
