The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Tape works rather well when FTP is unavailable or impractival. Just save the
image catalog objects from QUSRSYS and the appropriate part of the IFS and
you can restore them and then verify them on the target system in a pretty
short space of time.
I do this all the time moving sets of upgrade/PTF CD's around between
different customers.

I suppose because the FTP times can be rather daunting. If so, I would
suggest doing it before coming on site.
But I ALWAYS use image catalogs. I find it extremely disappointing to be
inserting disk 11, well into the upgrade, to find the disk is bad. With
image catalogs, VFYIMGCLG, etc, I avoid that scenario. That, I don't have
the issue of making sure the darn CD light is done flashing before dealing
with QSYSOPR messages. And I can eat lunch before it gets through all the
virtual CD's uninteruppted.
