I thought the best places for COMMON has been Minneapolis, San Antonio, and
Indy. Probably in that order. I do like the smaller cities, but in the end
it's the value of the conference that one gets, and not where it is or the
costs. Now, don't go crazy on me with that statement, because I am not
saying costs are not important, but at the end of the day, how much value
did I get for my time and money. That is how I measure a conference.

One of the best things about being in MSP is that you are so close to
Rochester and IBM sends lots of people from the LABs to interact with.

Too bad Indianapolis was at the low point of the economy. Economy was so
bad I only got permission to go to the vendor expo with some free passes I
received - and it's not a bad drive. Hopefully the board takes that into
consideration as to why the attendance might not have been stellar.
