Gerald,

It's MUCH safer to PRESUME...the net is the same and you won't get some ass
trying to hyphenate a word for political gain that was never intended to be
hyphenated!

I just visited the site and see that the usual time of the Spring System
i Conference is going to be in Barcelona, Spain. No details I see, but
could
I Ass_U_Me that the conference would be similar to previous System i
conferences (sessions, speakers, etc....)?

Pete,

Absolutely...and I think I'd add Orlando to that list...

I thought the best places for COMMON has been Minneapolis, San Antonio,
and
Indy. Probably in that order. I do like the smaller cities, but in the
end
it's the value of the conference that one gets, and not where it is or
the
costs. Now, don't go crazy on me with that statement, because I am not
saying costs are not important, but at the end of the day, how much
value
did I get for my time and money. That is how I measure a conference.

One of the best things about being in MSP is that you are so close to
Rochester and IBM sends lots of people from the LABs to interact with.

Too bad Indianapolis was at the low point of the economy. Economy was
so
bad I only got permission to go to the vendor expo with some free passes
I
received - and it's not a bad drive. Hopefully the board takes that
into
consideration as to why the attendance might not have been stellar.
