Yeah, they sent out a subscription notice about that. It's supposed to
upgrade the Web Application Server version from 6.0 to 7.1.

It also says that you need to have 5722JV1 option (8) installed (J2SE 5.0
32bit) and, for some reason we don't have that installed, we only have base
plus options 5 & 6.

Seems I can get to the admin page about half the time.

I was having similar problems with ADMIN on a 525 at V5R4M0 a couple of
weeks ago. I was advised by IBM Support to get the latest group PTF for IBM

HTTP Server (SF99114 for V5R4).
That did the trick.

It must be the week for these.

We have 2 525s, one a CBU for high availability.

I can't get the ADMIN page up on the CBU box.

When I try to start the admin server, the job fails and the log at

/QIBM/UserData/HTTPA/admin/logs says:

[Mon Jan 07 11:44:12 2008] [alert] (OS 15)Unrecognized resolver error:
ZSRV_MSG0358: mod_unique_id: Unable to use gethostbyname("")
[Mon Jan 07 11:44:12 2008] [alert] ZSRV_MSG0632: No UNIQUE_ID environment
variable will be generated
[Mon Jan 07 11:44:12 2008] [notice] QZISI Entering post-processing startup
of WAS Instance SYSINST
[Mon Jan 07 11:44:12 2008] [notice] QZISI is_post_config no applications to

start or end

But I'm not finding that very helpful.

Can anyone point me to where to look?

Thanks,
Lance
