SPSS Showcase

Not sure about your interface with VB but both tool sets provide a
pretty robust Query tool.

We use Showcase. The only downside to them seems to be that they have
not moved quickly enough to browser integration. With our increased
usage of Websphere Portal we have seen a strong desire to be able to
execute via the browser and not evoke a client - licensing, reducing
desktop installs, etc.

We use SEQUEL green screen because our developers used it as a report
generating tool many moons ago and are too lazy to replace it. The GUI
tool is very functional. I'm not very enthusiastic with their licensing
and maintenance so I would watch out in that area.
