Not to take away work from your contractor but we have a contractor that
does all things considered with raised floors - clean tiles, sub floor
cleaning, leveling, anti-static, etc.
We haven't used them yet - getting pricing for a project. He seems to
be very sharp.
We are getting ready to make some changes and to avoid the problem that
you are having we are having the sub-flooring cleaned. As well as some
other things.

Subject: RE: power supply woes.
The raised floor was originally installed in the 1970's, with raised
floor
tiles that was brought from a different building. After a few years of
literally holding down the cover tiles on the floor tiles with packing
tape it was time to replace them all.
All this work is being done by a former employee under contract. This
employee was a carpenter fired to reduce headcount. He tried to use his
remaining vacation time to float past the end of the year so that he
could
collect his retirement contribution. The powers to be said no, but you
do
nice work and we'd like to contract you. All in all, I'm not too proud
on
how he was treated. But he is doing nice work. Granted, his Shop Vac
looks rather beaten and I didn't ask when the last time he changed the
filter was. He's even come in rather late to work, like the other night
when we powered off the 570 to replace the power supply was a good time
to
replace the tiles underneath it. He's going to do ok - he's got people
lining up to use his services. And his brother is an independent also
and
is doing ok.
