What cables do you have plugged in?

Are you using LAN Console with a direct cable to the LAN Console or is there
a switch in between ?

I think you'll find two ports on the back of the box T5 and T6. T5 is
probably the port being used for LAN Console. You'll need to cable the other
port to a switch or whatever to connect to your network. The Ethernet line
won't come up if it isn't cabled to something.

You can match the T5 & T6 ports to the hardware resource names using SST (I
usually go through: work with hardware->packaging and resources and click on
the CEC fram to work out the port/resource name combintaionis.

Once you have the cable in the box and know which port/resource combo you
need then CRTLINETH with the right resource. After that CFGTCP, create
interface, route etc etc.

Well, I've gotten my 515 up and running using LAN console. Now I'd like to
configure TCPIP so I can connect it to my network.

I'm finding it a little tricky. I know I have to create a line description
first (CRTLINETH). But varying it on fails. So I have a feeling I'm
missing something. As usual, trying to find help online is fruitless.

I have two ethernet lines according to my WRKHDWRSC... CMN03 and CMN04. If
I use CMN03 when creating the line descripon I get an error CPD27D0.

If I used CMN04 it goes to vary on pending, the errors out (where to find
the error for this I'm not sure, but no jobs start under the line when I
vary it on).

Anyone have a "cheat sheet" or information on getting networking up? Keep
in mind, I am using LAN console at the moment so that may be part of the
issue.. maybe one device is for that?
