Re: Spool File Printing

You can change the defaults on the user profile that generates the report, to send a message to that user every time one of their reports gets printed & on what printer.

I have that on my profile because I am often working some distance away from printers where users ask me for some report ... I get it ... send it to printer closest to them ... it messages me when done printing ... I let them know it is ready for them to pick up.

If I have a spool file that goes to save after it prints, is there any
way on the System i to tell if someone comes along later and releases it
for a second copy? I know that it will go back to save status after the
second operation, but I need to find out if the second print has
happened.
