Yeah, but if I do a chain on "Joe Pluta", and the file contains "JOE
PLUTA", will I get the correct record?

Not sure, and I don't have the time to test right now. But it would seem to
me that even if it didn't CHAIN the way you wanted it to, you could still do
a SETLL/READ and then a %XLATE comparison. Not the best, but it would work.
