I've been doing a couple hardware things lately on a 170 and a 270
and an i5 - replacing cache battery on IO controller, and putting new
drives into a 170. The published instructions have all said to
disconnect everything - we do not have anything we can replace while
the system is running.

Hmmmm... I have never had to disconnect power to replace drives, Vern. I do
that all the time.
