That's encouraging. My 170 runs the SEQUEL very well, including the web
interface.

Paul,

A few years ago a P05 was a small 170 or 270, now that could be a
small 800, a small 520, or a 515. The 515 P05 will blow the doors off of
any AS/400 ever built. I have used it on a 520 Partitioned box, and it
worked great.

Pete

Please let us know about the performance. I'd like to see how it works at
the P05 and P10 levels. The IBI guy who demo'd to me a few years ago at
COMMON told me that he wouldn't even attempt to get it running on a P05
machine.

Got mine around a week after GA, I'll be putting on our 270 (P20 group) with
16 disk arms (IIRC), and about 40% DASD usage.

I definitely think I'll blog the whole process.

Well, we've ordered our copy over a month ago and still haven't received

the insane hardware requirements.

Well, I don't know how good DB2 Web Query is or isn't, but I won't be
writing about it since there's no developer discount and even on my
low-end
model 515 IBM wants $1000 for it. Heck, that's 10% of the price of the
rest
of the system! I don't know who is in charge of pricing on the software,
but that ain't gonna fly here.
