The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
On our current process to save to tape, the DTACPR is set to *DEV for the
Daily SAVCHG. The Weekly and Monthly backups use IBM's RUNBCKUP command.
We use a MAGSTAR MP 3570 tape drive.
Thanx,
Nick

Re: IFS and FTPing libraries
You can cut your save space time down by selecting DTACPR(*MED). There
are other levels available. But *MED seems to be a nice balance between
saving space and the performance of the save.
The smaller space, the faster the FTP. I've taken save files saved with
DTACPR(*high) and ran WinZip on them and got very little extra
compression. Compared to that DTACPR(*YES) seems like a joke.
