You can change the console manually by using the function 21 / 65 way
using the control panel.

There are no different LIC for different consoles, just the different
respins, with F being the latest.

Joe, I haven't read the entire thread, but DST is part of the LIC so
doing a D IPL from the LIC CD will allow you to load the LIC and get
into DST.
Yeah, unfortunately now I'm getting an A600 5008, which says it can't
connect to the console. This is silly, because I was running this
morning
using the V5R1 disks just fine.
There's a note that says the RSA version of the iBASE disk might not
find
the console and that I would need version RSB, but my disk says RS
540-F,
which I assume is equivalent to "RSF" and several versions later. And
this
is for operations console, anyway, and I have a direct attached twinax.
Of course, with my luck I managed to order an iBASE configured for
operations console (do they ship different LIC base CDs for different
consoles?), at which point I don't know what to do (how hard is it to
hook
up an operations console?).
I do know that it's looking like a job for next week.
Joe
