Since COMMON Focus is intended to be a smaller, more intimate and in-depth
event, there are only 16 all-day workshops being offered. The Education
Team selected a variety of different topics relevant to the current
industry delivered by very knowledgeable speakers. This smaller all-day
model certainly reduced the number of different speakers going at all and
should not be compared to the annual conference of over 500 sessions
delivered by approximately 200 speakers. These are very different events
delivering education in very different ways.

Rest assured Susan, Jon, Al and Trevor have not gone far. They continue
to support COMMON as volunteers and speakers outside of COMMON Focus. In
fact, Al Barsa is touring 4 cities with his Systems Operations on the
System i workshop this October. For more information, visit:

COMMON Focus Speakers

While reading the Focus agenda in the latest edition of COMMON Connect I
was struck by the lack of sessions given by what I would consider to be
the most knowledgeable and popular COMMON speakers. Where are Susan
Gantner, Jon Paris, Al Barsa, and Trevor Perry?
