This is another point I was trying to make with my auditors. Somewhere along the line you just have to trust. There is absolutely no way to stop everything.

But so what if you destroy the drive? How can you prove to the auditor
you didn't make 200 backup copies and sell them? After all, it's the
information on the drive that's valuable, not the drive itself.

Last time I destroyed a drive with a gun and used a pic for documentation,
they complained I went to the "extreme" to prove my point. I still got a
"minor" point on the audit.
