You can plug your USB Drive into the HMC and copy files to/from. That's
about as close as possible that exists today for i.

Will the System i, power 6 version, support USB connections? I saw the IMHO

With linux/pase/java support already in the i, it shouldn't be too far a
reach to think it could be done. Build it IBM and they will come.
