I still have two 170's, one 200 CICS, one 400 RISC, one 820 and two
520's. Ok one of the 170's is turned off until I have time to set it up
in my test network. The 400 runs my home email the second 170 is for
our risk analysis department to run queries of mirrored data, the 200 is
in storage. The 820 and both 520's are full production. Heck I
purchased the 820 cheaper than a memory upgrade for the 170 so I replace
the 170 2 years ago with it. The second 170 was replaced with a used
520 a year later for about the same cost. But they all still work and
can still provide a function for someone.

i5/OSV6R1

I agree!

But, you have to remember that it's easy to think everyone is up to spec
when you're on a list like this.. most on this list keep up to date on
OS
versions, but when you think about what percent of the i5 population we
represent, it's actually quite miniscule.

Every week I get about 10-15 emails from clients upgrading to V5R3 or
V5R4
asking questions about compatibility, so they are slowly moving up. :)

I actually still have some 170s using my software... not THAT old of a
machine, but still not new. :) I should look through for older
machines
than that.. lol
