I don't recall ever hearing of a device having more than
one description. Exactly how and why would you want to
do such ?

I'm curious as to how a device can be entered twice
having the same address.

I've also used laser printers (IBM, HP & Lexmark) with IPDS cards with multiple device descriptions. Both device descriptions can be active at the same time without problems.
