And even furthermore, at least some amount of new development on System i is involved with creating "reusable" components and similar. In theory, done right that should reduce pressure from needing new developers. Existing staff should be able to do more with less effort.

Sharing code snippets and fully-coded functions and service programs, etc., reduces pressure more.

Not that I think we've reached the level of sharing code repositories, etc., as a couple other segments have; but _every_ little bit has its own effect. Sometimes effects can have synergy.
