The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Keep in mind that "server" quite possibly means system software that
serves. It probably doesn't mean "the server is the box". The
exchange is likely between the server system software and the
user/device. In that sense, there is remote SQL serving, and that
SQL "server" must be logged onto. You don't log on to the application.
Granted, it's not _required_ that logons happen. But how many
business sites are willing to leave their systems open to the
internet and not require logons?
