Jim,

Well, I did a SAVSECDTA and restored that here from my V5R2 system to make sure
that
I got all of the user profiles and their setup. But, it worked ok on the old
system.

Rich,
I would assume a a new 520 would not have this problem.
Did you restore the OS over the preloaded system, or
restore security from backup?
Any problems with security during the initial install?
Have you altered the QSECOFR profile in any way?

Subject: STRSST Problem

I have just upgraded to a new 520 running V5R3M5. When I try to start
system service tools, I'm getting CPFB309 which reads "Service tools
user ID does not have the necess ary functional privileges to sign on to
SST.". I am running this from QSECOFR which does have all special
authorities. I've tried it from the console and from a display session
with the same results.

What am I missing to enable this to run for QSECOFR?
