Depends on the card.  The newer ones that aren't buried in the CEC are
hot (2780 for example).  The older ones are shutdown required.

My manager said that it would be nice to know that had a cache battery
!!!  I should have thought of it, since I read this list.

I followed the directions and checked QSYSMSG and found the message had
been sent back in October saying the battery was degraded. Then again on
January 15th, it sent a message saying the IO card was not working
properly. 

So, as of this minute, the boss is calling IBM for a replacement.
Hopefully, it is something they have in stock and don't have to order
in.  

Can it be replaced hot ? or do we have to shutdown ?
