You don't actually specify here the method of transfer you're using.
The problem is that they change servers at somewhat random intervals. FileZilla manages to update whatever needs updating and things continue on nicely.
I'm going to snip the rest. If you connect by name to the client rather than IP address, then there is no difference between using FileZilla and sftp from iSeries. If your dns configuration on iSeries is not correct or if you have firewall or routing issues, then you have your answer. FileZilla is a great program. It's not going to work any extra magic for you, though. You might need to provide details if you still have trouble. -- Sean Porterfield
