If I read your statement right you are looking for an easy to use solution to edit DB2 data? I use Linoma's Surveyor tool for that (vs. UPDDTA or WRKDBF or WRKQRY). At my previous place of employment we also used it for the QA staff so they could easily load test data. Very nice software and you get a free copy for a single developer on a machine so you can test away to your hearts content until you are ready to buy. If you don't have more than one user on a machine needing access to the tool then you can simply renew the product for free every 90 days - minor annoyance for great benefit.
