Shannon, This is a known problem with V5R3 and was fixed back in August. You should update your V5R3 iSeries Access for Windows client with the latest V5R3 Service Pack PTF (SI24723) or upgrade iSeries Access to V5R4. The following web site contains the necessary download info on iSeries Access Service Packs for supported releases: http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/access/casp.html Hope this helps, Bruce "Shannon O'Donnell" <shannon.odonnell@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 01/02/2007 02:34 PM Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject RE: Daylight Savings Time in iSeries Navigator I suppose it's possible that the Ops Nav GUI is incorrect and shows some default value rather than the actual value. I see that the PTF did in fact install the correct rule. It's just that it shows the wrong times, dates in the Ops Nav GUI for that rule. I guess I'll wait until the second Sunday in March and see what happens. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Shannon O'Donnell Sent: Tuesday, January 02, 2007 2:28 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: Daylight Savings Time in iSeries Navigator That PTF was actually put on this weekend (*TEMP) but didn't seem to fix the problem so I'm going to apply it permanent and see if that does it. The Ops Nav GUI is worthless for this. It allows you to make the change and you think that you are done, but in truth, it didn't do anything. The worst kind of programming. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, January 02, 2007 2:04 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Daylight Savings Time in iSeries Navigator Want to see the big lie? Click here http://www.ibm.com/support/alerts/server/us/#S and then click on "Not impacted". Kind of makes you think that you do not need any ptf's for iSeries - WRONG! And before some whiner starts saying that fixes are for i5/os or Linux or Aix or whatever your lpar is running, they'd better read this: http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/ibmscdirect/E58D7BBF0EAC9A27862 56EAD005F54D8 Rob Berendt
