I think that's sorta treading on thin ice. If you have a defective PTF that is permanently applied, there is no way to remove it short of reloading the operating system. Fortunately, IBM has gotten in the habit of releasing fixing PTF's for defective ones, but you can't always count on that. I normally don't permanently apply PTF's until the next cume tape is released.
