but they get varied on on each IPL which slows that process down. In our case twice a year we have a process on campus where we create about 200 virtual devices and then do not need them for another 6 months so we do the "delete after x days of non-use"

Since virtual displays only take like 12k why worry about them? You're just adding more CPU usage, etc recreating them Thanks, Tommy Holden -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 10:57 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: Telnet Session Limit I've got these in my QSTRUP program: VRYCFG CFGOBJ(QPA*) CFGTYPE(*DEV) STATUS(*OFF) MONMSG MSGID(CPD0000 CPC0000 CPF2640) DLTDEVD DEVD(QPA*) MONMSG MSGID(CPD0000 CPC0000 CPF2616 CPF2117) -- Paul Nelson Arbor Solutions, Inc. 708-670-6978 Cell pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx -----midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: ----- To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> From: "Pearson, Darran" <dpearson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx Date: 12/20/2006 11:30AM Subject: RE: Telnet Session Limit QAutoVRT was set at 100. Reset to 500 and seems to have fixed it. Setting has worked ok for a long time. Can alot be created all at once by something? Do virtual devices go away automatically after they are created?
