My main point remains, that the system is far too slow for it's price
point. A machine for 20k should run circles around a pc server for 10k.
But it doesn't. And that's the problem.

And the point made here in the list (over and over) is that you're comparing
apples to hand grenades.  The PC will do fine as a file server, but will be
absolutely useless for running 100 OLTP users.  Whereas the 520 will easily
accommodate 100 OLTP users, but will fail miserably at performing basic file
serving tasks.

Two different boxes with different characteristics.  But if you COMBINE
them, one $10K Windows server and one $20K iSeries, you'll end up with the
most powerful $30K server in the world.  Blinding fast delivery of static
data from your Windows machine, with hi-speed sockets communication to the
most powerful business rules engine in the world for blazing fast
applicaitons.
